The Australian working landscape has changed significantly over the last twenty years.
Female participation (30-39-year-olds) is at an all-time high, rising from two-thirds in 2004 to four-fifths in 2024.

Working women aged 25-29 also increased from 74% to 84% over the last two decades.
OLDER MEN KEEP WORKING
More men over 65 have continued to work compared to 20 years ago, rising from one in five to two in five. Ten years ago, it was 33%.
